nothing extraordinary
Sunday, December 2

I look forward to the coming week with utmost excitement. No, not because something particularly special is happening next week, but for reasons quite the contrary, in fact.

This week will be the most ordinary of weeks. I will turn up for work on the 5 weekdays, attend driving lessons on two of those evenings, go for ACSaturdays (BB Bible Study) on Saturday morning, meet up with my COOS cell that evening, and enjoy my time in New Creation on Sunday; all this with my family waiting for me at home every night. And the mere thought of these things alone are enough to fill my heart with joyful anticipation of the coming week.

You see, my life has somehow reached a state where my ordinary weekly routine is so pleasantly enjoyable, and I get to love every moment of the week. All this, definitely only through God's favour (: I love my family, my school folk, my cellies, and my colleagues. I seriously, seriously cannot stop marveling at how well everything has turned out for me; it's practically perfect! Thank You so so sooooo much, God! (:

I guess, then, it would be somewhat puzzling why I look so fondly upon this coming week in particular if it happens so ordinarily week after week. And that's because the last 6 weeks have been far from ordinary (holy crap, has it been that long???), not that I'm complaining in any way! First was the 3 weeks in Taiwan, then my parents left for Australia from the day after I returned till today, and people have been disappearing from the office for their offs and clearing of leave. What's more, after this week, 2 of my favourite people in the office will be ORDing, so I'll definitely be missing their presence thereafter. So yep, it's been a while since I've had an ordinary week like the coming one, and I won't get another like it.

A life filled with surprises and deviations from the routine of life certainly won't fail to add the occasional spice to life, like a sprig of parsley to a dish. But it's sometimes also nice to kick back, relax, and let the structured programmes in life take place, enjoying it all as we go through them. I can't wait, I can't wait! :D

I really love where I am (: Thank You, God!

AMEN;
